The Estalagem Ponta do Sol is Madeira's newest countryside hotel and is set on the top of a protruding cliff, overlooking the interesting village of Ponta do Sol on the south coast of Madeira and offering wonderful panoramic views.
The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus to Funchal (about 24 min.), Canico de Baixo (for diving) and the Palheiro Golf course on a regular basis.
The Village of Ponta do Sol is in the immediate vicinity with a few shops, a bank, markets and restaurants, and the public (pebble) beach. Some Levadas are also within easy reach.*
